Thanks to the lovely Vanessa, I have gotten meself a 32GB iPod Touch at the low low price of SGD$580. I know, I know, for that price, I coulda gotten meself a 32GB iPod Phone 3GS but what for? All I wanna do is use it to watch videos and surf the interweb. I can't use it at work coz there's a camera and if I were to take out the camera, it'd become an iPod Touch anyway
(but if you want to get technical about it, it'd become an iPod Touch that can make calls). 'Sides, I would hafta *pay* someone to *take out* a part that they could use in the manufacturing of another iPhone. Oh the irony.
So I've had it for 4 days, played with it twice and I have already found a few simple yet essential flaws that should not've been there in the first place.
Let the ranting continue. (You can stop here if you like)
1. Why can't we just drag and drop files directly into the device instead of going through iTunes? I can't put in pictures without syncing the entire folder! =_=
2. Why can't we rotate the photo on the device itself? Now I hafta go back to the folder, rotate it and sync with the thing again. =_=
3. Why can't we see the animated GIFs being animated? They only show the first frame of the gif. =_=
4. Why can't we have FM receiver on the device? It's not really that big a deal but I'm old skool like that. 'Sides, our local radio stations don't have internet streaming anymore. I've now gotta consider whether to get those FM radio extensions accessories for it now... =_=
5. Why can't we turn wifi on or off simply by touching the wifi icon at the top left hand corner? I'll forget to turn it off and leaving it on sucks energy. =_= Plus, I'm worried about the security of my shit.
6. Why can't we see exactly how many percent our batt has left by touching the battery icon on the top right corner? All we know is the vague agaration (approximation) of how much we have left graphically. =_= Would be great if they could tell use how many hours/minutes we have left but that's just asking too much.
...I just realized something. My Sony Ericsson G700 Business Edition--a phone that brings me another set of problems altogether--is able to do all 5 stuffs that I wish my Touch can do. *sighs*
Next up, list of stuffs I need to get/do:
1. Protective case and/or cover
2. Screen protector
3. Video converter4. Tetris
5. Bejeweled
6. eBuddy
