Presentation today could've gone so much better. So many different things that I could've done and/or said that was different but I didn't coz I was too nervous over being the first speaker and the prof didn't really help matters.
When asked how long I would take for the presentation, I answered 4 minutes and when he asked above or below, I did the honest thing and said below. Coz I've never really manage to clock a more-than-3.5-minute timing when it came to presentation before. Which wasn't the answer he was looking for.
Well that sucked. Bully for me...
And during the presentation itself, someone's cellphone went off. Loudly. As if I weren't nervous enough aye? So without missing a beat, I told the class in the pinched and pissy voice to please turn off their mobiles.
I am not amused. Neither are they.
And then, halfway through the presentation, much disturbances was heard at the back of the class and true to the pissy bitch persona that I'd put on subconsciously, I asked the bunch of em "what's so funny back there??" before continuing with my presentation.
That was bad! That was *bad*!!
...It was smooth sailing from then on but I kinda got my momentum back a lil too late but oh well. Can't say I didn't engage the audience now can you? Lol... Talk about informal. Seems like I'm not cut out for formal situations.
