It's gonna get long like all my other rant posts so I'll be a good blogger and separate em nicely.

So nat got her friend to come be our guinea pig help us today and that her friend of hers have like the most flexible, stretchable minutes and seconds that I've ever seen.
From meeting at 9am to give her a lift from Kembangan to NTU, to oversleeping and ETA in NTU at 11am, to finally showing up in NTU at about 12.30pm.
Well... beggars can't be choosers.

Our lab in-charge Dr Yu picked today to decide to come in and solve our data reading problem that had been going on for like at least 2 months now. He had actually wanted to do it yesterday but we had zaid all gelled and hooked up so he wisely backed away.
So he came in with 2 person from the local g.tec branch to check out our stuff and uninstalled and reinstalled and did all sorts of rubbish to the computer. And ended up with us being unable to get data that had been recorded these past week. On top of that, the 16-channel data acquisition device is being recognized as having 17 channels and the notch filter default changed from 50Hz/60Hz to 58Hz/68Hz.
Like, wtf am I gonna do about the extra 1 channel??!! I can't take it out of the recording and I can't hide it coz they did not have the option for more than 16 channels! And, even if Dr Yu says the 58Hz/68Hz could actually be 50Hz/60Hz, how would I know if that's true??!!??!! What if we start recording with it and it really is doing filtering at 58Hz or 68Hz?? THE WHOLE POINT OF NOTCH FILTERING IS TO REMOVE POWER LINE INTERFERENCES AT 50Hz OR 60Hz! =_=

Unable to do anything today, we got out of school at 2.30pm and wanted to go scream our lungs out at a ktv near her house but when I called to check if there's any available rooms, I was informed that the next free slot is at 5pm. Like wtf...
So nat suggested KBox near Parkway Parade (which is also nearby). What do you know?? They closed. Everything was getting torn down. =__="

Bad things *do* come in threes, people. Poor sodiumion though... she's got an extra 4th whammy with her Matlab. Mac laptops, no matter how l337 and <3<3<3 and awesome they are, are forever the bane of engineering students. No one makes engineering programs run on Mac OS as readily as XP and it's harder to look for pirated stuff for Mac too =P
As I'd always told everyone, I'll only get a Mac after I graduate and is out of the engineering field. Preferably if I'm in the journalism field. I'll be put those googling skills to good use now wouldn't I? Lol...
