Celebrating 100th post with post on Pansexuality!!!
So a friend and I were discussing sexual orientation over at her blog post (it was meant to be her birthday post but somehow it got side-tracked... as always :P)
So I mentioned pansexuality and that piqued her interest. Basically, anything goes but somehow I think she got the wrong idea about it.

Yes, aesthetic attraction is mentioned but if it's just like "oh pretty! I like...", that's not really pansexualism at all. That's just the Magpie Syndrome (I suffer from it too! Lol...). You'd have to love and be in love with the other party (men/women/alien with 16 tentacles *shrugs*) like you would your heterosexual/homosexual counterpart/boyfriend/girlfriend/partner/mate/significant other, even if sex is not involved.
It's true that sex is not a must in this equation but if one is not willing to have sex with either biological sexes/genders/alien species, then clearly there isn't enough love/sexual attraction between the two to consider oneself a pansexual.
If one is just claiming to be pansexual coz one like pretty things/people... that'll just giving people everywhere the wrong impression of being a pansexual.
It all boils down to sexual attraction. And well, even if one says one can love other women/aliens but cannot bring oneself to have sex with women/aliens, one clearly is not attracted sexually enough to women/aliens to really be considered a pansexual... can one?
Sorry if this seems like I'm really hung up about this coz, well... I am hung up about this.
