So I was driving earlier and this guy called in to the radio station and the djs asked him what movie he'd seen recently. He said 'Knocked Up' and that "it's a pretty obscure movie, not a lot of people has heard of it".
Well I have. For a month now. So I'm taking offense in his high-and-mighty attitude. (Wish I could call in and say "Ha! It's showing in GV! Everyone prolly had heard about it 2 weeks ago!)
A few days after I'd read about the movie all those weeks ago, I saw the poster of that movie at GV Tampines. That clued me in on the eventual popularity of the film coz that popular cinema has a smart bunch of people who knows how to earn loads of money.
Now if it had been shown in Cathay or even Shaw (I really like indies, as you can see :P), I would've been more pacified by his comment.
But that's not why it got me all riled up. What got me riled up was how I bought my usual copy of the local weekly entertainment magazine after I parked the car and staring right in my face is the pretty mugs of Katherine Hiegl and Seth Rogen, stars of the movie "Knocked Up".
HA! IN YA FACE BUSTA!! Now the whole world knows about it and they are all gonna rave about how great it is and you can't say "not a lot of people has heard of it" now. It'll be "popular", no thanks to you. XP
