It was a sudden and unexpected death. We'd never expected you to go like that but you did. One day you were working fine and the next, you died on us. How could you have left without any warning? How could you just pull the plug and went to meet your maker just like that? The anguish and agony of losing you was almost too hard to bear...
I hafta confess... althought we'd have had you for quite a while (5-7years ago actually), we'd always taken you for granted as you were up and running optimally even though you might've sent us warning signs through that persistent loud noise coming from the belly of your container. We'd never gave backing up your data any thought before, forever thinking that you would still be working the next time we turned you on but lo! Woe to our folly and whatever precious bytes you had stored in the belly of your magnetic disks were lost forever.
Data recovery was not an option as it would cost more than it is worth since you do not hold any corporate secrets or any uber important data that needs to be gathered back. You were but a hard disk of a mere personal computer shared by 2 siblings with various types of files for school and entertainment. The regret of not being able to fix you loomed ominously over our heads as we lament over all the lost data.
...We had that coming and I don't blame you...
Therefore, as a lesson to all, please treat your computers with your utmost respect and remember to back up and burn out files every other month. Oh, and if you're using an old system, make sure to listen out for weird ticking/whirling sounds coming from the CPU. Those noises could indicate it's time to back up your stuffs before it dies completely.
