As you know, I had gotten a job in Feb and is in possession of some disposable income.
Therefore, on the first day of my second month at work, I popped over to the driving center near my office during lunch and enrolled myself for the Class 2B motorcycle lessons. Booked my theory lessons straight up and sucked really hard on my first practical lesson (and I have the bruises to show for how much I sucked). I seriously need to throw caution to the wind and relax more. D: Even though I sucked, I had fun during the lesson so I will book more sessions to practice!
Anyway, one of the requirements for the practical lesson is elbow and knee guards so I went over to my local hypermart and got myself a set of guards (including wrists ones). And since I'm getting guards, I got myself a pair of skates too. I also sucked really hard at rollerblading the few times I tried it and I also have bruises to show for how much I sucked after the few times I tried it. But I still wanna learn!
I have also considered getting tattoos at the end of the year, possibly for my birthday but is still deciding between a
small arrow symbol (less circles in the middle maybe) or a small cluster of stars (similar to what
Ryan Robbins has,
only more clustered. Y U READ MY MIND, RyRo?! <3). I have already decided for it to be on the right shoulder blade!
Also, I got tix to San Diego Comic Con!!! It was actually for bro since he will be in the US of A for a short summer exchange program and that's pretty much Mecca for him (and to a slightly lesser extent, for me too). So we queued and I managed to get into the system faster then him and bought tix for both of us (since I need to use my ID to log in first). Bro's okay since he's already at the west coast but I didn't even bother with how am I going to get there when I bought. I just wanna go!

The bike, the skates and the tattoo are things I'd always said I wanna do but never really went for since secondary school (a bit more than 10 years ago!). And SDCC is something I said I wanted to experience before I die since poly (almost exactly 10 years ago!)
I don't know whether it is the fact that I will be finishing my part time degree later this year, or that 2012 is slated to be the end of the world, or quite simply because I am entering my late twenties and feeling like I'm running out of time, this year has been quite the bucket-list-ticking year for me. Maybe it's a combination of both.
That said, I still have some unfulfilled wishes. Maybe next year I'll start taking diving lessons, go skydive and bungee jump after graduation.
Dad also suggested I take a light aircraft license instead of a bike license so maybe I'll do it next year too, along with a boat license. So if you need to smuggle anything out of the country, you know who to call. ;)

Worked for a month.
1st day of 2nd month, up and went to enrol for Class 2B during lunch.
Finished circuit orientation this morning and boy, I'm stoked!
Even though I'm prolly gonna hafta retake every lesson at least 5 times each. XD
Next up is to apply for my PDL and get helmet, gloves, elbow and knee pads. Which I can get together with roller blades!
Yes!
