Let's do the Time (and Space) Warp tonight~

Was just thinking something what aunt said years ago.

She said she saw on Discovery that there's this guy who was driving into a tunnel in America in the middle of the night and exited the tunnel in Britain or Europe I can't remember which). At first, he was puzzled as to why the roads and the signs were all different and unfamiliar. Then after asking around he realized he was in another continent. Obviously he didn't have his passport with him and his car has an American plate. Can't explain why.

Interesting story? After hearing it for all these years, I never had the urge to verify it or if Discovery really did air something like that but *shrugs* if she say she's seen it...

Don't know what came over me today though. I went and did a search and found some articles on Scifi, wormhole and time travel but nothing on the Transatlantic driver. Oh well...

This article by Stephen Hawking talked about all three and that got me thinking a little.

Aren't we all technically time travelers? We all travel forward in time linearly, second by second. We just can't travel back, stay in the same moment nor jump forward in time.

We're very lousy time travelers. :P

Why can't everyday be this action-packed and fun?

Friday
Didn't get a good night's sleep. Could hear parents having breakfast. Could hear bro coming into my room and fire up his computer. I refuse to give up and open my eyes and hot damn it made things worse. The dark circles were unlike how they usually were. D:

Finished watching the first 60-ish episodes of Gintama. All I wanted was to show bro Yamazaki and his penchant for cosplaying as Echizen while playing badminton. That's right. Badminton. Not tennis.

It all started a couple of weeks back when I got bored and started watching Gintama again. I watched til after the Benizakura arc for sure and touched on the Fuyou arc definitely but I wasn't sure where I stopped watching so I watched from right after the Benizakura arc to be safe. Bro started catching bits and pieces while I watched and I am happy to report that Gintama was the only anime that made him stop me from watching it without him. The other stuff I watch, he could live with not watching a few eps here and there but not Gintama. Apparently the crazy OTT meta humor they use amused him greatly. So we finished from 62-201 and now I have to re-watch the front bits so I can show him ep 62 where the Seigaku and Hyoutei players from PoT made a surprise cameo.

And boy was it worth it! Took notice of stuffs that I didn't when I first watched it. Like ep 38, the first time I watched it, I took note of the name and appearance of the Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon but the second time, I noticed everyone commented on the degree of completion/perfection of the cannon every time the name of the cannon was mentioned. Didn't catch that the first time. :P

あらこれ、ネオ アームストロング サイクロン ジェット アームストロング 砲じゃない? 完成度高いなオイ!

Saturday
Still didn't get a good night's sleep. Heard The Mother puttering about. Heard 4yi come. The Mother came in to ask if I have class (grunted "no" in reply) and asked why do I have the alarm on if I don't have class (grunted "lazy to turn it off" in reply).

The moment 4yi came in, I knew my sleep was over. She has a way of making me abandon what I am currently doing and pay attention to her--be it doing revision, watching shows or in the middle of sleeping. Kinda like how everybody willingly or unwillingly listens and does whatever The Mother says. It's their special powers. D:

Aunt came over because Nanoko wanted to go meet her Maple Story Guild members at Downtown East chalet in the evening and wanted our aunt to accompany her. We played around in Wild Wild Wet from late evening to closing time at 7pm before going. It's been ages since I last played with water and it seems that the triangular bottoms are not in fashion no more. I see real shorts or boxer shorts type bottom. Strange... I feel awkward with my teeny weeny not polka dotted bottom. But that awkward feeling was forgotten and we had fun with the big splash and the slides and the lazy Shiok River. Wanted to go for the Viking-like V slide thing but aunt felt it was unsafe and didn't want to. Poo...

...And I remain relatively untanned. Need to go swim moar! Been saying that since last Oct!! OMG IT'S FEB ALREADY!!! D:

Sunday
Didn't get a good night's sleep. Was half awake almost the whole time I was asleep.

Had some McD lunch with 3yi because I have a hankering for them junk food and she likes to eat said junk food. Yum. :) Thanks for the treat!

Started on Human Target Season 2. Once again, I did not like the 2 new female additions. Is this what they call the anti-vagina bias? JEH still kicks ass as Guerrero though. *thumbs up*

...I don't believe I'd said this here but I will be sorely disappointed if they did not cast him as Spider Jerusalem for a Transmetropolitan movie.

Definitely at least as disappointed as I was when I heard Josh Holloway turned down the role of Gambit. Oh how you could've saved the live-action portrayal of my favorite X-Men... *sigh*

Monday
Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Birthday to Nanako! And Rob Thomas. And a secondary school friend apparently. :P

Four days in a row! Didn't get a good night's sleep four days in a row!! Gods... I might need a real job to switch me back to normal tired instead of restless tired. At the very least, I'd be less poor. :S

4yi bailed out on us even though she was the one who set this up so I had delicious chicken rice at the coffee shop formally known as S11 and is now called BD211, went to Cash Studio KTV with Nanako and was later joined by her sister. She had to leave a little early so me and Nanoko covered the last hour of the KTV session. I need to start doing more cardio... And work on getting the scratchy throaty quality out of my voice. Hurhur...

On the bus home, a teenage boy who reminded me of bro when he was that age boarded with a thick hardcover book from the library with a big heavy backpack asked to take the seat beside me so I let him in. Smacked me on the arm with his big heavy backpack with nary an apology. Yep, definitely reminds me of bro. A more awkward and nerdy bro when he was that age. :\

Watched SNL even though it was Russell Brand and Chris Brown. Why did they have to have Stefon on? I cannot resist a good corpsing and Bill Hader corpsing as Stefon was especially brilliant because of Hader's track record for not corpsing--unlike say, Jimmy Fallon.
Was Russell Brand always this squeaky?
Fake movie trailer for the fake British movie Don' You Go Rounin' Roun To Re Ro made me want to watch that fake movie even though it got a bit long at the end. *_*
LMAO SRSLY @ the Hader-Brand nose pecking!!
Bro's LMAO SRSLY was bestowed upon AOL's spokesman's comment on the buying of HuffPo.
Lil Wayne and Eminem... Not impressed by Lil Wayne but Eminem was pretty good.
Seth Meyer's apparent glee at Stefon's segment is apparent. This is how we know their love is real. Heh heh heh... ;)

Watched Top Gear. Did not know Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were guests so was pleasantly surprised. Man... their bromance is beautiful. I'd be lucky if I manage to find someone like that other than bro in my lifetime. A real bromance? Like, because bro is really my bro? :P
