Collective update from 17 Dec 2009 til now (coz nothing interesting happened before 17 Dec)
...and this is why I do not twit
2009--
17 Dec: Last class of the year. Went to Play on Les Night with Shaf and HueyJinJin. There weren't nearly enough people and I wasn't nearly drunk enough to hit on other girls. Mum flipped out on bro coz I didn't tell her where I was going and what time I'll be home. Note to self: Get drunk moar.
18 Dec: HJ got free tix to Avatar 3D so we went to Great World City to watch it. I need to get contacts or a small glasses frame. That 3D glasses does not sit properly on my nose. X_X The effects were pretty and the story was decent. What I can't wrap my head around was Sam Worthington's supposed American accent. Or he was one of those people to signed onto the Uncle Sam Marine Corps and got his citizenship after his tour? KTV at Cineleisure with HJ, Vanessa and Vanessa's boyfriend til late. Had great fun. Note to self: Need to make other people sing moar.
19 Dec: Slept in. Got woken up by new baby cousin. First of many weekends. Guh... Baby has renewed my hatred for progenies, spawnlings and children.
20 Dec: Another day of sleeping in and waking up to baby's persistent cry. Aunts kept asking me what will happy if baby is actually mine (since Mum had me when she was my age this year). Guh... I bet the baby will be out our 7th floor window very soon if it were to be mine.
21 Dec: Went to work. Went home for lunch. Self-declared half day. Wheee... I'm just asking for it. Where's my letter of termination already?!?
22 Dec: Had dinner at Suntec. So cheap it's unreal! Dad called to say Mum wants me home to eat glutinous rice balls but we can't! We're going to sit around and drink alcohol! Went to Stereo Lounge and it was completely empty. Bit of a downer but at least that means we can go home earlier.
23 Dec: Busy bird today. Flew to camp. Flew back home to bathe and change. Flew back to office
24 Dec: Half-day today but I went to base to look at the project that I'm being phased out of lately but since my buddy isn't back yet, I thought I could use this as an excuse to not spend the day at the office. Went to base and went to eat with Mum at the overpriced Manpuku Jap Gourmet Town. The okonomiyaki was surprisingly nice. Never had that much cooked cabbage before... Mum saw a bunch of boys in pixelated green and lamented how other people's Ah Bing Ge get to go home for Christmas but her Ah Bing Ge did not. =3 Went to Marina Barrage at night to countdown and we ended up playing Monopoly Deal til about 3am. DW sent PQ back home coz she's going to M'sia the day after and we went for prata opposite Beauty World with Nigel before DW sent us both home.
25 Dec: Reached home around 4 or 5am. Bathed. Slept for most of the day and was woken up by cousin and aunt at around 3pm. Not too shabby. The bunch of cousin set up their laptops and used our computers for Maple LAN party. I forgot my login ID and registered email so I didn't join them. Poked around the internet til 4am and went to bed.
26 Dec: Woke up by the same aunt at 3pm again and WTF I'M LATE FOR VANESSA'S BIRTHDAY PARTY! Lol... I need a proper alarm clock. Preferably the solid metal kind--like the IKEA one. Speedily got ready and chiong'd cab down. Good thing too. Not sure if I really wanted to duke it out on such a rainy day. The cab fare was terrific though.
27 Dec: Slept in late, mauled around at home and poked the internet all day. Same old, same old. Cousins were still at it today. Ah well...
28 Dec: Took off today coz I just know I'm a goner the Monday after Christmas and I was right. Met up with Zaid to get his external hard drive to swap some anime and watch Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes. I need a separate squee-post for this movie. I'm serious. Watch this space. XD
29 Dec: Got to work. Go for breakfast. Checked a bit of email. Go for lunch. Checked the same bit of email. Go for tea break. Checked email for the last time. Go home. A typical day in the office. Met up with bro and aunt and uncle to watch Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes. I can still fill a separate squee-post on top of the first squee-post I still need to put up for this movie. I'm still serious. Keep watching this space. XD
30 Dec: Thanks to yesterday's complete boredom and lack of work, I self-declared off and lo! People keep calling to look for me. I have the best timing ever. -_-" DW asked if I'll be watching Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes few days ago and when I told him I'll be watching it on both 28 and 29 , he rejected my offer of watching it with him today coz he fear for my sanity (and his life). *pats* He really should know his life is forfeit the moment he was born and that my sanity is long beyond all repair. Went to Sim Lim with bro instead and we both still haven't found what we're looking for. Unbelievable! Went to Iluma to have lunch-cum-dinner at The Manhattan Fish Market and oh my arteries. Was feeling rather guilty about binging out on such high cholesterol-y food when I really can't afford to
31 Dec: Went to office but since it's a half-day, I went to Orchard Kino to look for KHR light novels. One of them had Ryohei and Hibari's side story and I WANT THAT TO THE EXTREME!! Too bad they didn't have it. Ordered it and will now wait for good news. Had lunch with bro at Breeks and the service was rather... self'd. We waltzed in, sat ourselves, took the menus off the shelf ourselves, went up to the waiter for him to take our order, I waited for almost half an hour to see if anyone will take notice of our tiny table full of empty plates before we gave up and called for someone to clear our plates and serve our desserts. The massive Massive Attack was prolly a mistake coz after we paid and left, we went to Far East to catch a cab since I was running late--feeling queasy all the way--and while in the cab queue, I couldn't hold it in any longer and rushed off to the toilet to empty my gut. All of it. $30 worth of lunch down the drain. Good thing too coz pretty sure if I were to not empty it there, $30 worth of lunch would be emptied on the cab instead. So got home, got ready and we went to Sentosa Palawan Beach for the countdown. Played cards, ate junk food, drank some alcohol, stared at the bright bright moon, all the while being surrounded by noisy Indians who likes to do the Xena War Cry (tm). In an attempt to be cheeky, I brought my dick-light out and lucky I did coz we forgot to bring torchlights and the light sticks were too small and thin. My dick-light became our sole beacon, our flashing lighthouse on our 2-mat island. We would've stayed til sunrise if not for the deceptively fat drops of rain that fell on almost everyone of us that ended quite quickly. Went for McD breakfast at Harbourfront Center instead and went home.
2010--
01 Jan: Reached home at 7.20am (thx to PQ meeting her cousin who lives in Tampines at the taxi stand. They just got on the cab when I'd already reached my house.), bathed and slept til 8pm despite dad's attempt to wake me at 7pm. Watched LotR: RotK on TV a lil and went to bed at 4.30am. Totally screwed up my internal clock all in the name of fun and games.
02 Jan: And here we are. Cousins came over for another round of LAN party but our strength is a little short. Note to self: post squee-post.
