Today, on the joyous All Hallows' Day, I have finished all 9 books (so far) of Suzumiya Haruhi light novel series. In traditional Chinese no less.
I'm more of an English novel reader but I'd like to think my Chinese is decent. I'd bought the Trinity Blood light novel series translated from Japanese to traditional Chinese a couple of years before and I couldn't bring myself to read it for more than 2 days (put that off until I got so bored during my attachment and finished that one book in a week's time).
But with Haruhi, I finished the 1st book in the record time of 3 days--2 hours back and 2 hours forth on the train to school everyday. I was super amazed by my speed as I'd always considered myself a slow traditional Chinese reading when it comes to whole pages of words. This consistent speed carried for the other Haruhi books (except for book 7 coz so much thicker than the rest...)
Woot!! *does a lil jig*

I hafta clarify, I don't usually remember dreams. At all. But then.......
(1) Foo Fighters
I forgot if I dreamt before or after my bro mentioned FF's new album a couple of weeks ago (if it's before, I'm psychic!!) but I dreamt that I was in a mall and the members of FF were there. I saw a bored-looking Dave Grohl, in his fully bearded, long shaggy haired self (I really liked him better cleanly-shaven with short hair... reminds me of sam rockwell. Lol...), and I can't find a blank page in my notepad when I tried to get his autograph.
Fumbled, panicked and made rubbish small talk but got his signature in the end. Got all the other member's autograph too (lukewarm response from them too) and had a great chat with my favorite member--bassist Nate Mendel. The dream kinda ended when they had to go prepare for the mini mall concert starting soon.
Which reminds me... the last time Linkin Park was in Singapore way back when, I had the chance to go backstage and all. And there, only my favorite member--bassist Dave "Phoenix" Farrell made an effort to chitchat a little more with me. (*blush* commented on how my LP tee isn't the same as the others... so kind of him. *hug* My 20/20 hindsight told me I should've offered my tee for his tee after the concert ended. >_<)
The rest of 'em just looked sheepish and couldn't be bothered with this lowly fan from Singapore. *eyeroll*
P.S. Linkin Park's coming to Singapore again in Nov. Can't make it as the day after their upcoming concert is my first paper for my finals this semester. Guh......

(2) Rude China(wo)men
Had this dream last night. I dreamt that I was playing around with a friend's laptop at some canteen-like place during recess (?) and all of a suddenly, while I turned away to talk to my friend, this two china women squeezed their way past me, sat down in front of the laptop and started using it like it was theirs to begin with.
So I got pissed and kinda asked them what they were doing & whether that laptop is theirs in a not too friendly tone. They had the nerves to retort "it ain't yours either". Seriously pissed. So I turned to my friend and gave him the "wtf are you doing, being so quiet? Go get your bloody laptop back yourself!" stare and he got them back by saying that's his laptop.
They were far from happy but they stayed where they were, jabbering and complaining and I've had enough. I yelled "SO RUDE!!!" at the top of my voice.
...Which was when I realized it was 7am and that I had really shouted at the top of my voice in my sleep. Strange thing was, the loud piercing China women's voices were still ringing in my ears right after I screamed. It was like, a second after the scream that the voices died completely.

Anyone can do a dream-reading for me?? Lol...

I don't really get why
most some people will go out of their way to avoid giving me straight answers.
Situation: me asking some other guy(s) doing a project on similar theme on what is their direction in their project coz we shouldn't really go in the same direction even though we are doing similar theme. And they (2 of 'em dickheads from 2 different groups) hemmed and hawed and avoided my question with all sorts of random PR crap that the lecturer had already told us before.
...They had the nerve to ask about mine.
So I gave them a vague, general answer but still... I can't help but feel that I had given them more than they had given me.
Like, we only have another week to finish the report for the project. I don't have the time copy your idea, you ignorant fools. Not that they'll be great ideas anyway. -_-"
...Whatever happened to the times where everyone is frank with everyone and no ulterior motives are hidden behind words and smiles?? I want it back.
*yells* Give it back!
