I swear... sometimes, the most entertaining form of passing time while traveling home is the people traveling home with you. ((see July 20th 2007 entry))

The lady who didn't sit down

So this lady was standing right in front of me (like, very very close to me even though I'm sitting and she's standing), reading her book when a seat beside me was freed. She was very quick in moving to the seat (seeing as how close she was standing in front of me) and to my surprise, she stood before the seat instead of sitting down. She waited a good 10 seconds before sitting down beside me.

A friend suggested she was actually waiting for the seat that was just vacated to cool before sitting, which made sense. But still... weird!

That ignorant girl!! I am ashamed...

Pfft... I can go on for days about this girl.

Confusion does not equal sophistication:
She was telling her friend about the animes she's watched and how she don't like those popular fighting shonen (boy) animes like One Piece or Naruto. She said she watched Bleach though. Which is as popular, fighting and shonen as they come. But hey, to each their own.

Next she said she likes the shojo(girl) type with the romance and the lovey dovey and the flowery flowery pink bubble background. Suggested Tales of Saiunkoku and kinda threw a bucket of ice cold water over her friend's head by saying her friend might not be able to get it with the recent Odex problem here and that the show is more sophisticated.

But to my knowledge, Tales of Saiunkoku is about this gay emperor who turned straight from the awesome powers of the female protagonist. Of course, the rest of the imperial guards and man-servants and court ladies fell in love with her too.

Her Uni life vs Her Life Before:
Then she went on to complain about how her only entertainment before university was playing PS2 games and now that she's in uni, she can't do that anymore. Like, I managed to finish Suikoden V just recently (when I'm in my last year in uni) didn't I?

I don't get her.

Her Poly life vs Other People's Poly life:
So the girl, turns out, she went to both JC and Poly (in that order). She talked about her current project report and was bitching about how she didn't have any good friends from Poly because everyone's cutthroat and backstabbing. There's even a guy who copied her report word for word and handed it up. Luckily for her, the lecturer knew about that guy's antics and penalized him instead.

But, isn't that what people do in JC more often than Poly? Seeing as how many of the "cream of the crop" went into JC instead of Poly (heard many horror stories about JC students. Didn't wanna go to JC coz of em) and how the JC people in uni stabs people's back and cuts people's throats, I would say a fair number of em comes from JC. I had the bestest bunch of friends in my Poly days!!! <3 you guys!!! (not that my only 2 friends from secondary school and my uni friends are not good of course. Hee...)

(Interesting side note: she's gotten into this lil accident back in Poly when she kinda screwed up the making of a paracetamol tablet and like, the machine totally went off and shut off the making and released noxious fumes and she was gagging and choking. From then on, she is forever known as The Gagging Drama Queen Who Screwed With Paracetamol. Okay, so that's the title I gave her but you get what I mean. :P)

The punk guy who listens to girly songs

This guy in punk getup was blasting his iPod through his puny earphones while he was standing a few seats away from me, so much so that I could (and did) actually tap along to the bass line. (I <3 bass. *pause* Not the fish!!) And when he sat down beside the lady who didn't sit down instantly, I heard what he was blaring. Kelly Clarkson's Behind These Hazel Eyes. Imagine my amusement. I literally cracked my face open grinning at that.

i iz stoopidz desu

So I had my Forensic Science quiz today and I hafta say I was kinda overconfident when it came to the subject CSI ownz me!.

BUT!

During the quiz, because of the class being such a huge one (There's like easily 1000 students taking the class), there's a lot of chitchat and discussion, all kept to low volumes of course. So naturally, my friends did that too and I asked them the answer to one question that I don't quite remember. I have my own answer but wasn't sure if it was the right one. And they gave me an answer that was different from my own.

So I changed it.

After the quiz, took out my notes and checked my answers. Found out that my 1st answer was correct and that I filled in the wrong on. So I asked them again. They all gave the correct answer and said that that's what they told me.
OMFG! I'm the only one who got it wrong?!?!?!!? !#@!@#$%!@#$%^&*@#$!@#$% Damnit!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so stupid. I should've stuck to my answer instead!!!

T_T

......

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did a bad thing today. I cheat in a test in class.

A friend of mine sitting behind me slipped the answer for the last part of the quiz that I was struggling on to me in this unfolded A4 sized paper. I thank him for his generosity but I can't help but feel he went a little overboard with it. A4 paper? Unfolded A4 paper?? All I needed to know was that one formula that I had forgotten and all he had to do was write the formula and show it to me. I didn't really hafta take that gigantic piece of paper...

...I wonder if the people in class will report me (snitch?) for using underhanded methods...

Been watching Oh! Edo Rocket lately as my dvd rom is screwy and can't let me continue with Reborn.

It's random + Edo + aliens too (just like Gintama, only prettier)! The opening song is by Puffy (same people who brought you the Teen Titans Theme) so you betcha nickel it's fluffy and chirpy.

And in episode 3, I really completely died giggling. I swear, this is the only show where the antagonists are so cute!!! Absolutely hilarious!!!

One of the undercover cops of their district (ghetto) was screaming in faux bravado about how the monster they met in the jungle is his and no one should interfere even though he is shitting his pants. The newly appointed chief Gin-san ran in and wound the creature.
And one of the goons said *referring to coward undercover cop* "didn't you say that monster's yours and no one should interfere?"
Chief said "oh yea~" and the rest of the goons parted way in unison, making way for coward cop to pass through. LMAO!!

Remember, They are the bad guys here! They are decked out in black armor (which almost always equals bad guys) and they are highly skilled individuals! And they go and do this type of random comedy act. Now I can't hate em~!!!

...*recalls the scene and giggles to no end*

New theme! Gin-san(gintama) to Gin-san(oh! edo rocket) to Gin-san(mushishi) da!! Even though the Gin-san in Gintama is really called Gintoki and the Gin-san in Oh! Edo Rocket is really called Ginjirou and the Gin-san in Mushishi is really called Ginko. Lol... technicalities!

Another new theme! Random feudal Japan (when Tokyo was still called Edo) + alien comedy anime~. Gintama and Oh! Edo Rocket!!

((Side note: the Gintama game on PS2 should be out in Japan on 30th August... Wonder if I can get it here... *sigh* Gin-san~!!! Aiitai~!!))

So much happened in less than 8hrs

brad bird does not disappoint!
Ratatouille is so great! I've wanted to watch it ever since I saw the trailer many months ago!! The thing that got me wanting to watch it is how simple and sans-action the trailer is. There isn't much movie trailers without the mandatory booms and vrooms. I really liked the simplicity of the story the trailer is trying to tell.

And so today, right after my much hated HRM tutorial (presentation day again), I rounded up the usual bunch of movie goers (namely aunt, uncle, their 2 kids and bro) and we dashed down to Bugis to watch it. So totally worth my money!!

So cute! So touching! So heartwarming!*hugs linguini, remy & colette*

This is prolly the best Pixar/Walt Disney film that is produced in the past 5 years!!!

One irritating thing (not the movie obviously) is how the seats bro booked were super low and super back. I don't mind back rows but the last 3 rows are practically on the same sealevel. There is no inclination to speak of and I had to view the movie from between the seats before me.

Another irritating thing (still not the movie) is how annoying babies cry and cry and cry while we're trying to watch the show. I swear, kids before the age of 18 years should not be allowed in public premises!! They should make that a legal law I tell ya!!!!!

Edit:
I don't usually put much rational thought during movie watching but I found myself thinking "don't rats have short lifespan?" more than twice throughout the movie. Kinda gave the movie a lil bittersweet feel beneath all the cute, fluff and love.

And why is it that Linguini is so smooth on skates while so clumsy on his feet? Does he take part in that France (Paris?) event where everyone skates during a particular night? Lol...

~~~~~
i am man, he is woman
So after the movie, we got down and I saw this 3 Thai tourists taking pictures. The one with his(her?) picture taken was this pretty transsexual and I suddenly had the urge to snap a photo with him(her?). My aunt and I both felt compelled and we both went on ahead and asked if (s)he will take a picture with me and (s)he said yes. Go impulse!
Pix: Yes, the one in the skirt is a he
Uncle was like "pretty meh?" but is rather pretty wat... Bro was slightly less homophobic. Said he's seen uglier transvestites/transsexuals and that he is rather pretty by Singapore transvestite standards. We really do have fugly transvestites here.
Thailand has the prettiest transsexuals!
After I saw the picture taken, I'm like "wow... I am more of a man than (s)he is. Lol... And I'm an all-natural woman!"
I win.
(S)he wins more.
~~~~~
jerky drivers
And then we went home. On a jerky bus with the longest route home from where we were at.

We should've just skipped dinner and gone home by train. Would've reached home like 2hrs earlier...

I suggested taxi and who knew, all the cabs have gone into hiding. The ones with the vacant lights on ain't stopping. Like, wtf? I trying to let you earn money you know!!!

Gods, I wanna puke...

What an anti-climax to the end of the day...

GOMEN NE~! natjie

I blame the surge of female hormones.
Earlier in class today, after a bout of frustrating argument over the correctness of my question and how my question really isn't relevant since it will never happen in the context of the module we're taking, I kinda lost my temper smacked natjie on the head with my wallet. (I did consciously try to not smack with my full strength coz from past experiences, my literally heavy-handed approach resulted in bruises. Much apologies to I-ta!!)

It made such a loud smacking sound that (now that I recall) rendered the class completely silent. And then my crystal clear 20/20 hindsight smacked me on my head.

I really shouldn't have done that... Should've just left everything at that last note and went on to the next lesson with a stomach full of grievance. I can take a stomach full of grievance. In low doses. Over a short period of time. I hope. X_X

Better clear up some points while I'm at it.
-My impulse control was never good. All those trips to Kino can attest to that.

-I'm one of those type who will hurl a hell lot of physical/verbal abuse at the people they like most.

-My idea of humor might be sarcasm to others.

-I tell things as it is, without any attempt at beautifying it. The brutal truth is my form of truth.

-I really don't put too much thought (if at all) into my words and action so please don't peg any ulterior motives behind how I do/say things.

(I'm sure the bunch of 'em character flaws can be found from Sagittarius personality traits. Lol...)

Hmm... maybe I should make a list of bad points about myself and hand it out to new friends? That will sure clear up some misunderstanding (gods... those misunderstandings from IA and prior... *facepalm*)
