Did I mention how much I hate the school's system?
...Oh yea, I did. See 28 June 2006.

So today, woke up at 11.30 and caught an episode of Zatch Bell (the VIZ dubbed version) and Oliver's Twist on TV and mulled around til 12.30pm. Thought I'd go check on my timetable and camp til 1.30 where all the students rush forth and fight tooth and nail to register for subjects in the system.

Got a call from natjie and after fretting and cussing for the next hour, we began out battle. She got her subjects registered in less than 20 minutes while I am left with 2 modules. It wasn't until an hour or so into the registering period (which is 1.30pm to 4.30pm), did I manage to fluke out and get 1 module registered.

The next registering period is from 5pm onwards for all students who didn't get their subjects registered earlier. And since they tend to open a lil more space for the slots, I waited and waited and waited and at 5pm sharp, I clicked like I've never clicked before and since there wasn't any vacancies still, I didn't get it in the system.

So I called up Vivi and asked if she wanted to change to another even more screwed up slot with me and she said ok and I changed both our subjects to that remaining slot with 2 vacancies. And when I went to check our registered subjects, I saw that the intended slot had 2 vacancies! So I quickly switched both our slots back to the one that we wanted and called her up and whooped for joy together! :D

If we hadn't gotten our intended slot, we'd have 5 hours break between classes on Monday and 4 hours break between classes on Friday. Now it's just 3 hours on Monday and late lessons in the afternoon on Friday. Woohoo!!

Oh woe... For 20 years, my birthday never had the chance of clashing with any exams.

Last year, I spent my 21st birthday in an exam hall full of students doing my engineering math paper (I got a C+ for my troubles).

And after a look at the exam timetable (which comes with planning my timetable for next semester), this year, I will be spending my 22nd birthday mugging for the biomedical signal processing I'll be taking the next day.

Which means I can only rest a day after my birthday. At least with last year, I managed to get a few hours before the clock struck midnight. I swear... uni is out to get me. Bro's offered to make me a tinfoil hat. :D

clickie! (excerpt from 8days issue 868, pg52 June 7, 2007)

I had always called myself (and all those on attachment) "lowly interns" in the most endearing form of the phrase. I like calling myself a lowly intern. :P And I had just opened last month's phone bill the day before to find that I had logged a total of 1185 sms(equating to $59.25 w/o gst).

Yesterday, reading 8day and coming across this particular article, I literally snickered. Such a fitting time for it to appear the day after I get my 1185-sms-usage bill.

...I can minus 1185 from 5 mil now. =3
