i know, i know... i'm lazy. 3 more days n it'll truly b 1 whole mth since my last post. not that anyone is keeping tabs of corz. :p
1st wk: nth much happened. "worked" (actually is sit n shake leg at my uncle's hp store... heehee...) almost everyday to earn some money to blow in the taiwan trip during d 2nd wk. shigoto, shigoto... okane, okane... $_$
2nd wk: finally, the highlight of d yr happened. some back story first. this taiwan trip had been planned since my 1st yr of poly, but oni now when i'm in my 3rd yr i'm actually going. why? simple. 1st yr-->typhoon... 2nd yr--> SARS... we almost didn't make it this yr becoz of d earthquakes but thankfully mom didn't cancel it.
touring the whole of taiwan was basically travelling on mini bus & stopping to pee & enjoy d rural scenery. there is a lot of local products but really, it's nth singapore doesn't haf so didn't spend too much there. i had to wait til the 5th & 6th day to finally shop for what i want. 1st day was touch down in kaohsiung. 2nd day was spent in kaohsiung & taitung. 3rd day was spent in taitung & hualian. 4th day was in hualian & a pit stop in su sui before travelling to taipei for d night. 5th day was in taipei & taizhong. 6th is from taizhong back to taipei. last day is flying back from taipei international airport.
nth much to report on the 1st 4 days so i'll skip to d interesting part. on the 5th day, the dinner was "ding tai feng", the "tang bao" restaurant. yum! the plan after dinner was to go to the biggest night market in taipei, shilin but becoz of me, my mom n aunt asked our guide, named ET coz he looks like ET, where we can get comics & he changed the trip to shilin to our last night in taiwan coz on the 5th nite, the hotel is closer to the "shu dian jie", a whole street delicated to bookstores. *^_^* kinda disappointed as i oni managed to get 2 series (yami no matsuei & matantei loki). i'd wanted to get petshop of horror too but mom said it's not a complete series & if singapore don't sell it, i can't continue... so didn't get it. boohoo... *shrugs* oh well. 6th day in taizhong... night in taipei again. finally gng to shilin ye shi then (the hotel was closer to shilin than on d 5th nite). it is like a giant pasar malam. we didn't c tian bu la (literally sweet not hot), i don't know why... mom didn't wanna let me try smelly tofu & chicken ass. wat a waste! i tot they weren't that bad but she tot it was dirty. -.- can't understand virgos... next time i go backpack in taipei alone. bk ticket & hotel in taipei and stay for 5 days. den i will go explore every single store in shilin since we didn't finish strolling thru & eat all the smelly tofu & chicken ass i want. didn't go to xi men ding either coz "it's so late le... let's go back hotel". it's oni 1 stop away in their jie2 yun4 (taiwan's equivilant to an mrt)!! T_T such waste! such waste!
3rd wk: back in singapore... spent the whole of monday & half of tuesday laying around in my bed, enjoying the caress of my pillow, bolster, blanket & all my lovely stuffed toys. all 3 garfields, 2 snakes, 2 cows, 1 frog & 1 bear of them. *snuggles* also did some catching up w/ my anime torrents. 1 whole wk & i'm lagging by close to 10 torrents. wow.
spent wednesday w/ my cousin at my aunt's store in hougang. my aunt & uncle haf a store outside the shops right beside each other. it's like a family thing & my cousin was roped in to help my aunt. she got lonely and asked me to go keep her company. we ended up shopping in hougang mall & i bought the complete set of alice 19th, a series i've been looking for since yu gi oh ended its run. lucky! she bought some bks in popular as well before buying lunch back for our uncle (who had called and asked us to hurry up coz he's hungry :P).
thursday was my driving lesson & also my 1st time on the busy roads. previous lessons were on quiet roads with close to zero vehicles. mr lim stopped in the middle when driving towards kallang carpark & told me to drive from there. @_@ my heart was pounding! when we got there, we did some usual circling & u-turning before he asked me to turn out to drive around the stadium, quiet roads. but nearing the end, he didn't ask me to pull over. he juz asked me to continue driving to the pickup pt in the small lil road besides singapore post. i think my heart rate was over 100... could literally feel it hammering in my chest. *_* meet up w/ mom after driving to change my atm card & since i'm already in tampines, went to sch to gif philip his santos hotel card, santos hotel water bottle & sars masks for him, nigel & paul.
friday was back to bumming. this time w/ my cousin & uncle & aunt coz everyone didn't wanna work no more. haha... we r a v lazy family. we bum when we can. we bum when we can't too. :p it's in d genes.
4th wk: went back to sch on monday, as per request of shiling. got d transducer, tested it & found out dat my voltage level is constantly decreasing until its close to nil. strange things works in mysterious ways. brought my stash of things to give out too but oni managed to gif ziyang his taiwan choya & his virgo stones, diwei his libra stones and shiling her aquarius stones plus sars masks. everyone wasn't around.
slpt past noon on tuesday and gave up the tot of gng back to sch to test again. ltr in the afternoon, eefei called and booked all our napfa test dates. sadness. i hadn't moved vigorously for d past 3 yrs and now they suddenly want us to take napfa. lousy school system.
went back to sch way too early in the morning on wednesday coz mdm soh was coming down. i was there at 9.15am but she oni appeared at 11.45... damn. tested the transducer again. same thing. eefei's readings were also smaller as compared to the result when she first tested it. mdm soh wrote it off as sensitivity but i seriously think the transducer is whacked. den, mdm soh said all i hafta do is to map & correlate the signal & algorithm and i'm done but eefei & shiling isn't ok so i'm can't do it either. hafta wait again... oh... gave out the sars masks & zodiac stones to eefei, siew choo, vivi & zihui too. i got some tie dan or iron eggs for siew choo as she is such a sucker for ru dan. (note: tie dan is ru dan being ru-ed for a long long time) clara wasn't around so i got vivi n zihui to hold on to it for her. still missing peiqi, imelda & irene so hafta gif them during ktv.
thursday morning was driving. i haf this bad habit of releasing clutch when i shud b stepping on it fully. killed d engine twice in 1 1/2 hr & mr lim was quite exasperated. i'm beginning to think he is giving up on me. haha... same drill as last wk but i spent more time circling in kallang carpark den out in d roads. oni managed to drive 2 rounds around kallang stadium before gng back to d pickup pt, w/ me behind d wheels. ^_^ the evening was the funny one. my jie mei men told me we were gng to celebrate clara's bday at orchard partyworld and halfway thru d bday ktv session, they came in w/ a small choco cake and sang hapi bday to me! tearing in joy! haha... but it was also their ploy to get back at clara coz she found out from imelda they were gng to celebrate her bday there. clara was visibly upset but denied it. (heehee... lam, dun hafta save face la... we all noe it le) ltr the hapi bday song started again (quoting clara "wah, again ah") & they came in w/ a mango cake. we love u clara! *muacks* hapi hapi day. on d way home, while crossing d blocks, my mom & cousin were gathering at d balcony. they were speculating who that girl in the skirt was. my cousin said was me coz she is walking like me but mom said can't b coz the girl is wearing a skirt. but it is me! it's my bday present, tshirt, skirt & boots. they didn't get me a bra n panties set, if not reli change from inside to outside. haha...
we had to go to IBN in Biopolis (Nanos building) on friday morning. it's in buona vista... and it was raining. damn... of all d days to rain. beatrice had this cool pen that tricked alot of people. u hafta pull d tip of d pen out before the inked tip could b used. philip was d 1st to b tricked. hee... in biopolis, the only interesting speaker in the 1hr presentation was this bald foreigner w/ a strange accent (german perhaps?). we had a soft spoken chinese guy after him who was v technical & an indian speaker who is a cross between satish & azam, a v bad combo. touring the nanos lab was also quite bad. there was a mixup in d levels & everyone was taking longer time than they should. but a few of the stations r interesting (as were the respective presenters) heehee... *in her best queen elizabeth voice* charming individuals darlin', absolutely charming. ltr in d night, zaid came online, talked abit and wished me hapi bday in his passive way. at least he remembers, i guess. :p i wished stef hapi bday too... same day as my lovely lam. ^_^ according to him, stef pointed out that natasha is 20/11, liyana is 23/11, stef & clara is 26/11 & w/ me on 29/11, we're all exactly 3 days apart. it's a big flippin' coincidence. such weirdness actually occurs.
and finally, today. me n my 2 uncles' bday are 1 day & many yrs apart (me 29/11, both of them 28/11 but on different year). my 3rd uncle is nvr ard so today's lil family gathering is to celebrate me n my 1st uncle's bday. the young cousins r loud, the photo-taking r plentiful & the food is gd. i've eaten more than i recently had so i'm reli gonna gain weight... haha...
and this concludes the chronicles of my life from the start of nov to today, 27/11/2004.
on a side note, my maplestory account is officially dead. i made a mistake in the country setting & now i can't log into the game. such sadness... all my leathers, all my ores, all my weapons & all my money!!! oh woe! woe is me! woe in losing my character in such a pathetic way!!! i did email the game admin but i seriously doubt they would do anything to change it. stupid higher ups. if oni they didn't change it to the id login system. damn!!!! *roars in utter despair & anger*
